As mentioned before, a dead pixel is a black spot on your computer and LCD screen. I guess I just need to suck it up and live with it. Dead pixels on phones or monitors can be quite the bummer. If the suspicious dot does not appear on the black screen, but does appear on. The issue with having one dead subpixel is that usually that doesn't fall under warranty, as typically you need 5 dead/stuck subpixels per million pixels on your monitor (ISO-9241-302 - 307 Class 2 is what most monitors are: ) If the test reveals a colored dot on the black screen, you have a stuck pixel. If you would make the entire screen green, that specific part should be black (because the green sub-pixel doesn't work): The idea behind the black screen test is to make sure your smartphone’s display is actually working properly. it means green is not on, so you're seeing a combination of blue and red (which produces that pink/magenta/purple color). If the picture is suppose to be white, but it's actually pink/magenta/purple/etc. Long story short, a pixel is comprised of three sub pixels: Red Green and Blue. That would mean the green sub-pixel is broken there. When I set the background color to white, I am not sure of myself what the color is lol but its between these color : Pink or magenta or purple
